Jeet Kune Do: The Art and Philosophy of Bruce Lee
This is a must own book on the topic of Bruce Lee’s martial art written by arguably Bruce Lee’s most well known student. Dan Inosanto met Bruce Lee in 1964 when he was asked by martial arts legend Ed Parker to be Mr. Lee’s host and assistant for the 1964 International Karate Championships in Long Beach California. Mr. Inosanto was one of the few to be a part of all of the 3 different school phases of JKD and being chosen by Lee to be the assistant instructor in the Los Angeles Chinatown branch where the name “Jeet Kune Do” was coined as the the name for Lee’s art in 1967.
This book covers the history of Bruce Lee and his art as well as a deep look at the philosophy behind it. This book, though currently out of print, is still in high demand as it is one of the leading written records on the art of Jeet Kune Do.
